Instrumental Lessons is a two hour show that digs into my record collection honing in on instrumental beauty.
By leaving out the vocals the result is a rich and honest account of what the composers wanted to achieve musically. The show itself its not tied down to any genre and is free to explore all corners of taste and style. People will recognise hip hop, breaks, drum and bass, industrial, ambient, rock, post rock, prog, soundtrack and jazz, but where those lines blur are the really interesting bits. I'm interested to explore the origins of samples and how they get fliped together with digging for gold that was once loved in its time.
These mixes and conversations are a journey that ebbs and flows sharing the joy I found in finding the record or figuring out something behind the process of creating it
