Unmade is a Portsmouth based community radio station offering a platform for DJs and sounds that are not currently represented within local nightlife or radio. unmade will bring bedroom DJs out of their bedrooms, bring unlikely collaborators together, and give Portsmouth stalwarts the opportunity to express themselves outside of their usual confines.
Unmade will be inclusive, reactive and always progressive. The sound will be new, forward-thinking, alternative or rare, but never none of the above. unmade will cover a wide spectrum of genres – if it’s good, it’s good.
Unmade will be a creative hub that will aim to intersect the disparate elements of Portsmouth’s music scene by bringing music lovers together. Everyone will have a voice. Only by being totally inclusive can we push the future of music in the city whilst paying homage to its past.
My House w/ Mark Persaud
"Somewhere at the cross roads where disco meets house music, you'll find Mark Persaud, standing there, hand in the air, probably dancing awkwardly in a circle, with an expression that looks like he's in pain, but he's actually just really liking the record a lot. Part of the Civilisation Of the Rough (COR) collective, he hosts a monthly radio show with his COR brothers on 1BTN, and his own monthly show on Unmade Radio. He's played at some of the most infamous festivals around including Bestival, Electric Elephant Croatia, Farm Fest, Alfresco, Snowbombing, We Are Love and Victorious, with some of his house music heroes, such as Ashley Beedle, Grahame Park, Bill Brewster, Greg Wilson, Alfredo (yes, that Alfredo), Terry Farley, Dave Jarvis, Luke Unabomber, to name a few. I hope to share the stage with him myself some day."
